Sale terms

In force since September 2, 2026. Read this before you buy. Your right to withdraw is in it, in full.

Who you are buying from

You buy from Paddle. Paddle is the merchant of record for every paid plan on this site, and that makes it the seller of what you buy. Paddle charges your card, issues your invoice, and pays back any refund.

We make Formbar, and we are Gordon Westerman, trading as Formbar. Your account and your licence are with us, and these terms tell you what we owe you for them.

A withdrawal ends that contract, so your withdrawal comes to us. The right of withdrawal section below gives our postal address and our email address for it, and the model form repeats them.

Email: [email protected]

Full provider identification, including the tax details German law requires, is on the Imprint.

What these terms cover

They cover every paid plan you buy on this site. The plans section names each plan and its price, and that is the offer these terms sit under.

They cover the paid plans alone. Downloading Formbar is free, and it stands outside any contract of sale. You may stop using it at any moment, and a paid plan is the one thing you ever owe us for.

What you get for the money

A paid plan is a licence to use Formbar on your own machines for the length of the term you bought. A licence is the whole of what it is. The software stays ours, and every right in it stays with us.

The plans section states what each plan carries, at the moment you buy. That is the description the contract is made on.

How the contract comes about

Putting a plan in front of you on this site is an invitation to order. It binds us from the moment we accept that order.

You make the offer when you press the button that completes the purchase. Paddle runs that step, and it shows you the plan, the total price, and these terms before you press. You can go back and change anything you entered, right up until that press.

The contract exists when Paddle confirms the purchase, or when we give you access to the plan, whichever comes first. Paddle sends the confirmation to the email address you gave it.

We keep the text of your contract, and you can ask us for a copy at any time at [email protected]. The contract is concluded in English, and English is the language of every dealing between us.

Prices and tax

If you buy in the European Union or the United Kingdom, the price you see on the plans section is the total you pay. Value added tax is inside it, at the statutory rate that applies to your order, and that same figure is what the last step charges.

If you buy in the United States, sales tax sits outside that price. Paddle works out the sales tax on your order and adds it at checkout. The checkout shows you the total before you press the button.

Paddle calculates the tax on every order, charges it, and pays it to the authority that levies it. Paddle alone does both, for every order. A plan reaches you as a licence, so the price you see is the whole cost.

If you buy for a business registered for value added tax, put your VAT identification number on your organisation before you buy. We pass it to Paddle with your order. Paddle decides from it how your purchase is taxed, and your invoice states what it decided. That decision is Paddle's alone.

A term you already paid for keeps the price you paid for it. If we change the price of a plan, we tell you before your next renewal, and you decide then.

Payment

Payment is by card, at the start of each term. You pay Paddle, and your card details go straight to Paddle at its own checkout. Your full card number stays with Paddle.

If a payment fails we tell you, and we give you a fair chance to fix it before anything stops working.

Your invoice

Paddle issues your invoice, because the law puts that duty on the seller. It sends the invoice to the email address you gave at checkout, and the invoice is what states the tax you paid.

We keep the reference Paddle gives us against your order, and that reference is the whole of what we hold about the tax. Ask Paddle for a copy of an invoice. Write to us at [email protected] and we help you find it.

When your licence starts

Your licence starts the moment the purchase is confirmed, unless you tell us to hold it. Read the next section before you agree to that, because starting straight away has a consequence for your right to withdraw.

How long a plan runs, and how to stop it

A paid plan runs for the term the plans section names, and renews for the same term unless you stop it.

You can stop the renewal at any time, on your Subscription page. It takes one press, and that press is the whole of it. You keep your reasons to yourself, and it takes effect the moment you make it. Stop it before the current term ends and that term becomes your last.

Stopping the renewal leaves the term you already paid for whole. That term runs to its end, and you keep the plan until then.

We can also end the contract ourselves, for good reason, and banning your account is one. A ban ends every plan your organisation holds. If we end the contract mid-term, a ban included, you get back the unused part of the term you paid for.

Your right to withdraw

This is the statutory instruction. It is the whole of it, unshortened.

Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period is 14 days from the day on which the contract was concluded.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Gordon Westerman, Mainzer Landstr. 332, 60326 Frankfurt, Germany, [email protected]) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement, for example a letter sent by post or an email. You may use the model withdrawal form below, but you do not have to.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is enough that you send your statement before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, Paddle shall reimburse to you all payments received from you without undue delay, and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed of your decision to withdraw.

Paddle will carry out that reimbursement using the same means of payment you used for the original transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise. You will not be charged any fee for the reimbursement.

If you asked for the licence to start during the withdrawal period, you owe us a proportionate amount for what you used up to the moment you sent your statement, measured against the full scope of the contract.

When the right of withdrawal ends early

Your right of withdrawal ends before the 14 days are up when all three of these are true: you expressly agreed that supply starts before the withdrawal period expires, you confirmed you understood that starting early loses you the right of withdrawal, and the confirmation of the contract you were sent records that agreement.

We ask for that agreement explicitly, on the purchase page, with a checkbox you tick yourself. It arrives empty, and a purchase goes through either way. Leave it empty and we hold your licence until the 14 days have passed, so your right of withdrawal stays whole.

Model withdrawal form

Fill this in and send it back only if you want to withdraw.

To: Gordon Westerman, Mainzer Landstr. 332, 60326 Frankfurt, Germany, [email protected]

I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the following service:

Ordered on: _______________

Name of the consumer: _______________

Address of the consumer: _______________

Signature of the consumer (only if this form is sent on paper): _______________

Date: _______________

Refunds after the withdrawal period

Once the 14 days are up, the term you bought is yours and it is paid for. Stopping the renewal keeps you on the plan to the end of that term.

Two things override that, and the law gives you both. If we end the contract mid-term ourselves, you get the unused part back. If the plan works differently from what we said it does and we fail to put that right, you can reduce the price or end the contract, and the money comes back to you accordingly.

A refund goes back the way you paid, in full. Paddle pays it out, because Paddle took the payment.

If the plan works differently from what we said

We owe you a plan that matches the description, that works the way you would reasonably expect, and that keeps working through your term. That is §§ 327 ff BGB, and it stands above every line on this page.

We also owe you the updates the plan needs to stay in that condition through your term, security updates among them. We tell you when one is there. Install it and that cover stays whole. Skip it, and a break the update would have fixed is yours to carry.

Tell us at [email protected] when something is wrong. We answer, and we either fix it or tell you plainly that it stays as it is.

Consumer dispute resolution

We take part in no dispute resolution procedure before a consumer arbitration board, and the law does not require us to.

The law that applies

German law applies. If you are a consumer with your habitual residence in another country, you keep the protection the mandatory law of your own country gives you, and that choice leaves it whole.

If one part of this fails

If a clause on this page turns out to be invalid, the rest stands. What the invalid clause was reaching for is then governed by the statute that covers it.
